Short Questions
A pixel is the smallest unit of a digital image or graphic that can be displayed and represented on a digital display device.
A pixel is also known as a picture element (pix = picture, el = element).
Raster graphics, also called bitmap graphics, a type of digital image that uses tiny rectangular pixels, or picture elements, arranged in a grid formation to represent an image.
Unlike JPEGs, GIFs, and BMP images, vector graphics are not made up of a grid of pixels. Instead, vector graphics are comprised of paths, which are defined by a start and end point, along with other points, curves, and angles along the way.
